Reset Your PS Accounting Password

Important: For security reasons, Support is not able to reset a user's password. I,f after going through this process, you are still having trouble resetting your password using the Lost Password link, please reach out to your Church or Diocesan Administrator to verify your email address on file with ParishSOFT Accounting.

 

This walk-through covers resetting your password when Multi-factor Authentication is enabled, and when MFA has not been set up. 

 

With Multi-factor Authentication Enabled

  1. On the login page, click the Forgot Password link.

  1. You will be prompted to enter your email address on file.

  2. Select Continue.

  1. Check your email inbox for an email from support@ministryid.com.

  1. Select Click Here in the email, and enter your new password, ensuring to meet all of the requirements.

When the password has been reset, you will get the following confirmation.

Important: The system will not redirect you. Re-enter the ParishSOFT Accounting URL into your browser, and log in with your new password. 

 

 

 

When MFA is Disabled

  1. At the login page, click the Lost Password link.

  1. Enter your username and click the send password button.

  1. Check your email inbox for an email from support@parishsoft.com. The subject will be New Password.

  1. Copy and paste the temporary password. 

Important: Be careful not to capture any white space when copying the password! Ensure to highlight ONLY text. Otherwise, you may receive an incorrect password error.

Note: Once the temporary password has been entered successfully, keep it close, because you will need it one more time on the next screen.

  1. Re-enter the temporary password in the Current Password field. Then, in the New Password field, enter your personal and secure password. 

  2. Re-type your personal password in the Confirm New Password field!

  1. Upon successfully changing your password, the system will refresh and display the following message confirming the password was reset.

To conclude, navigate back to the ParishSOFT Accounting Log in screen and continue with your newly set password.
